Drake Already at Work on Take Care Follow Up

In a recent interview with U.K.'s KISS FM, Drake revealed that he has begun work on his third studio album.

Drizzy explained that he is currently "building a canvas" for his third LP, the follow-up to his 2011's Billboard No. 1 set Take Care. In addition to collecting beats (which will then lead to the writing process, he said), Drake said he is also looking to have music producer Jamie xx play a larger role in the albums production along with frequent collaborator Noah "40" Shebib.

Additionally, Drizzy spoke about working with 2 Chainz on the still untitled project.

"I’m just sort of at that place where I’m collecting beats," said the Young Money MC. "I recently did some work with 2 Chainz, he’s an incredible artist from the U.S. that’s buzzing right now."

Drake also talked about his relationships with singers Rita Ora and Rihanna, the former who recently released the Drake-penned track "R.I.P.", and his ability to appeal to both male and female audiences.

"Some people hate it, some people can't stand it and say he's too emotional, too soft," Drake explained about his male fan base. "Or, there are some people that aren't comfortable in their own skin and maybe lash out at people who are. But for the majority of men, there's a mutual respect for the dude that's doing his thing, getting girls an doing it all by being himself."

In addition to Rita, Drake also added he is working with fellow Canadian Justin Bieber, for who he wrote one song for already. "That's always somebody I always look out for," he said about their relationship. —Calvin Stovall (@CalvinStovall)
