Since meeting a couple of years back, Nipsey Hussle and DJ Skee have maintained a good rapport. Now the two have decided to take their friendship to the next level by working closer together on Nipsey's budding rap career.

Nipsey Hussle announced today (February 1) his new partnership with Skee's Skee Music imprint. The collaboration means DJ Skee will handle all of Nip's e brand development, marketing, communications and licensing while also acting as Nipsey’s management.

"It’s 2012 and we saw the artists that have been successful recently,” said the former XXL Freshman of evaluating profitable business ventures during a Sirius Satellite interview with his new labelhead, Skee. “ Most of them built up their Internet base ahead of time and took advantage of the Internet and the new media and so, I think that what you’ve got going, Skee, is the perfect platform for artists like myself.”

“The separation between artists and their labels is the reason a lot of things don’t work," the Cali MC continued. "When people get together and pull resources, it makes it better for everybody.”
