Lil Wayne Announces Cash Money Signing of Limp Bizkit

Cash Money’s signing spree is far from being over by the looks of things.

After recently announcing snagging Christina Milian, Lil Wayne revealed during an interview with New York's 98.7 Kiss FM DJ Lenny Green that parent label CM has now added 1990s rap-rock group Limp Bizkit to the imprint. Bizkit joins recent additions Busta Rhymes and Mystikal as well.

"We're always listening and looking at acts,” Lil Wayne said. “Every other day I hear about somebody new just signed to Cash Money…the other day I found out Limp Bizkit signed to Cash Money. They're signing everybody."

During the interview, Wayne also mentioned that YMCMB could be working with former Murder Inc. song siren Ashanti.

Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst confirmed the Cash Money signing early Friday morning (Feb. 24) via his Twitter account.

"The game is missing danger, electricity, and rock n roll!!!! Cash Money Limp Bizkit,” he tweeted in excitement. He later added, "rock s--- doesn't rock anymore! They say the whole game done went pop so I'm back in this ho! #CMLB."

Limp Bizkit isn't any stranger to hip-hop; the group has worked with Eminem and most memorably Method Man and DJ Premier on “N 2 Gether Now.”

Bizkit made a splash onto the music scene back in 1997 with the album Three Dollar Bill, Yall$. The last album, Gold Cobra (2011), flew under the radar.

The jam-packed YMCMB roster already includes the likes of Weezy himself, Drake, Nicki Minaj and DJ Khaled. —Jakinder Singh
