Frank Ocean Facing Legal Action Over ‘Hotel California’ Sample

Frank Ocean stepped out of the shadows and into the spotlight with his unofficial debut album, Nostalgia, Ultra, which he released via his Tumblr page in February 2011. Now, one year later, the Odd Future member is facing legal issues over the sample on his single “American Wedding.” The fan favorite was sampled from the Eagles’ 1977 hit single “Hotel California,” and now Eagles founding member Don Henley is threatening legal action over the sample, which was never cleared. Read more...
