Simon Cowell has outgrown looking for the next America Idol. Instead, he is now in search for the world's greatest DJ and he has teamed up with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith to help find him/her.

Cowell’s Syco Entertainment is partnering with the Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television to continue developing the new show, which has been in the works for over a year.

"We have been working on this show for over a year and we wanted to partner with the right people," said Cowell via a statement, according to Deadline.com." As soon as I met Jada and Miguel from Overbrook, I knew they would be our ideal partners. DJ’s are the new rock stars, it feels like the right time to make this show."

Pinkett-Smith is equally excited, stating, “This show will comb the world to find a new breed of talent. I am happy to be creating it alongside Simon Cowell.”

Cowell has a remarkable track record when it comes to talent search shows and the success of American Idol, X Factor and America’s Got Talent should give a clear indication of the new show's future.

An announcement with the show’s U.S. broadcast carrier will come shortly.
