After welcoming his first child, Blue Ivy Carter, to the world over the weekend, reports have surfaced that rap mogul Jay-Z has signed on to become the spokesman for Duracell Powermat.

Revealed yesterday (January 9), Mr. Shawn Carter inked a multi-year international deal with Duracell Powermat to become the spokesman for the joint venture.

"I believe in the future of wireless energy and I believe that Duracell Powermat is the company to bring on the revolution," he revealed in a press release. "I'm partnering with Duracell Powermat because they're providing the solutions for the future."

The business move between Procter & Gamble's Duracell and Powermat Technologies is aimed at popularizing their wireless charging technology to the masses.
