XXL to Count Down Best of 2011

XXL gears up to list 2011′s best songs, albums, mixtapes and more…


It’s that time again. With the year coming to a close, XXL will begin counting down to 2012 by celebrating the best of 2011. The year-end blow out is set to kick off on Monday December 12 through the new year.

Look for XXL to list the best songs, albums, mixtape and verses, among other music categories, in addition to breakdowns of the year’s best fashion trends and Eye Candy’s baddest chicks of 2011.

XXL also teamed up with DJ Holiday to release, Holiday Season: The Year in XXLence—a mixtape featuring some of the calendar’s hottest tracks. The tape will premiere exclusively on xxlmag.com on Monday, December 19.—XXL Staff

      I realize you probably have a limited knowledge of Hiphop (not an insult). Everything you have listed is a major or mainstream release except Tech and maybe Tyler. No “Section 80″ by Kendrick Lamar? “Cats and Dogs” by Evidence? Or what about the Phonte, Saigon, Raekwon, Pharoahe Monch, and J. Cole albums?
      Wayne at #1???? Not even in the top 30. Step you Hiphop game up and turn off your radio!
