Maybach Music Group’s Wale and Meek Mill —and a host of others— fed a sold-out crowd’s appetite for hip-hop last night (December 19) in Manhattan’s Best Buy Theater during the Power 105 Breakfast Club morning show's one-year anniversary show.

A year after replacing Ed Lover on the New York radio station, DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God hosted and calmed an anxious audience that was hungry for more hip-hop. After a lengthy wait, Wale practically pounced on stage, sporting a multicolored skully, brown bubble jacket and gray and black camo pants. The DC native opened with "600 Benz" before making the crowd erupt to a mixture of other bangers such as "Nike Boots," "Tats On My Arms" and "Slight Work."

Using his title track off his latest disc Ambition as a transition, Wale turned over the mic to fellow XXL Freshman Meek, who has a verse on the record. In a sporty, black and white varsity jacket, the Philadelphia representative balled so hard that it made the crowd cray, performing his "Ni**as In Paris" freestyle followed by "House Party," the latter during which he brought out new Bad Boy signee French Montana.

Also in attendance were 2 Chainz, who performed a few joints off his T.R.U. REALigion mixtape, and a couple of Power 105.1 DJs including DJ Self, DJ Whutevva, DJ Prostyle and the legendary DJ Clue all who helped The Breakfast Club celebrate what has been an eventful year for the morning show trio. —Christopher Minaya
