If one know anything about the sporting world, they know this week was a tremendous day for coveted acquisitions.

The major leagues hitter, Albert Pujols, went to the Anaheim Angels for a 250 million dollar contract. Meanwhile, the Los Angels Lakers traded for the best point guard in the NBA, Chris “CP3” Paul. And, as expected, the hip-hop world refused to be outdone; after months of meeting with record labels ranging from Def Jam to Maybach Music to G.O.O.D. Music and Roc Nation, French Montana announced he has officially become the newest Bad Boy.

Earlier this evening, French and Diddy were guests on BET's 106 and Park and let the world know of the new allegiance.

“I represent New York for the fullest,” Diddy told the host, crowd and television audience. “For real for real, can’t nothing move in this city without us being a part of it. We the Yankees of this whole thing! It’s time for us to get what we supposed to get. [French] got them pinstripes on and he ready to hit it out the park.”

French, who reps the Bronx, said he welcomes playing for the home team.

“I really feel real good that’s why I kept it here in New York,” French explained. “Why would I take my talent to South Beach? When I met with Puff and sat down and really spoke, he told me a couple of things and [he] never lied to me about nothing and always kept his word. It is what it is. It’s New York. I want to bring it back to New York.”

During the appearance, French also debuted his new video for the track “Shot Caller.” The remix to the clip was released on the net days ago and features Diddy and Rick Ross.—Shaheem Reid @shaheemreid
