Two weeks ago XXL reported that buzzing Harlem rapper, A$AP Rocky signed a major label deal with Polo Grounds Music/RCA Records for an undisclosed sum. Recently however, the up-and-comer revealed the major deal was worth a whopping $3 million dollars.

During an interview with Pitchfork, Rocky said he earned a cool $3 million through his record deal with the Sony/RCA subdivision. $1.7 million will be allotted to his solo releases and about $1.3 million for his group label, A$AP Worldwide.

“ I feel like Sony/RCA is a family and the people there actually care about me,” he says about his big record deal, “I'm going to have creative control; there's no bullshit. The situation is almost unrealistic. I mean, five months ago I had about $3,000 in my bank account. Now I'm worth $3 million. Nobody's gotten a deal like that since 50 Cent.”

Captalizing on his buzz, the young rapper is currently prepping his debut mixtape, LIVELOVEA$AP, scheduled to drop this Monday, October 31. —Ralph Bristout
