XXL posted behind the scenes footage of its October issue’s cover shoot with Rick Ross and his Maybach Music Group, yesterday (September 22). Though the clip pictured Ross conversing with photographer Travis Shinn and Meek Mill getting lined up in a barber chair, there are certain things that weren’t captured on camera. Here, XXL offers interesting notes from the MMG cover shoot.

Gucci Pucci Stays Sharp...

Though he wasn't part of the shoot per se, Rozay's manager, Gucci Pucci, got a shape up at the same time as Meek.

Dirty Chucks...

Let's just say has his own definition photo-shoot-fresh. The Atlanta rapper's Chuck Taylors were a bit dirty the day of the shoot. See page for evidence.

Mood Music...
As Shinn snapped away with his camera, Ross and company rhymed a long to MMG selection like "I'ma Boss" and "Tupac Back." The quartet particularly came alive when Rozay's "9 Piece" came on— bring the energy up a notch to create a borderline video shoot feel.

No, Not Him...
At some point, French Montana—who was on hand to show MMG some support—mistakenly got into several shots.

Crew Love...
DJ Khaled was on hand throughout the entire shoot. "I just came here to support Ross," he told XXL.
