23. Snoop Dogg

Even as an international star, Snoop Dogg has always gotten himself into major legal troubles. While recording Doggystyle in 1993, Snoop was arrested in connection to the death of a member of a rival gang. Snoop, along with his bodyguard, was charged with murder and was defended in court by Johnnie Cochran. Both were eventually acquitted. Snoop’s been fined and arrested a number of times for marijuana possession and at times has been banned from entering certain countries or performing on certain stages because of it. In ’05, Snoop was sued for assaulting a fan and in ’06. He was arrested after being turned away from British Airways’ first class lounge and vandalizing a duty-free shop in Heathrow Airport in return. The latter year, he was charged with carrying a collapsible police baton in his carry-on bag and was sentenced to three years probation and 160 hours of community service. In 2007, his visa was rejected because of the Heathrow incident. And, most recently, Snoop Dogg’s many legal issues forced San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom to withdraw his plans to issue a proclamation to the rapper.
