Since Jay-Z and Kanye West released “Otis” two weeks ago, there’s been a rush of MCs jacking the beat to freestyle over the Otis Redding-sampled instrumental. Time-tested duo Jadakiss and Styles P and Philly’s own Young Chris and Freeway traded bars in a way similar to Yeezy and Hov on the original, while Papoose and Skillz each chose to ride to the beat dolo. Pap, Young Chris and Freeway even shot impromptu videos for their respective freestyles. Busta Rhymes, with an assist from DJ Khaled, recruited a fresh out of jail DMX to growl and get busy over “Otis” as well. But who had the best do-over out of these five freestyles? Take a listen to each and cast your vote.
