VH1 to Air Doc on Hip-Hop & the Crack Generation


VH1 is set to air a documentary focusing on crack cocaine and its relation to hip-hop next month.

Executive-produced and narrated by Ice-T, the special, titled Planet Rock: The Story of Hip Hop and the Crack Generation, will feature never-before-seen interviews from Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill’s B-Real, RZA and Raekwon, as well as interviews with notorious drug dealers Azie Faison and “Freeway” Ricky Ross.

Planet Rock: The Story of Hip Hop and the Crack Generation will air on Sunday, September 18 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. —Henry Greenfield

    I don’t know what you guys are talking about. It was a great documentary. It showed the government’s involvement in the illegal drug trade and expressed a message of staying away from drugs, with the rappers telling of how happy they were when they were able to leave that lifestyle behind.
