G.O.O.D. Music rapper Big Sean was arrested Thursday night (Aug. 4) on sexual abuse charges. The Detroit artist, who recently dropped his debut album, Finally Famous, was taken into custody after a sex abuse complaint was made against him following his concert in Buffalo, New York, last night, according to The Buffalo News.

The rapper, born Sean Michael Leonard Anderson, 23, was charged with third-degree sex abuse, forcible touching and second-degree unlawful imprisonment after a female issued a complaint that she had allegedly been sexually assaulted.  The incident was reported at 9:50 p.m. at Wiz Khalifa's Lewiston festival, where Big Sean was also performing.

Another Detroit man, Willie Antonio Hansbro, 23, was also arrested on the same charges, although the connection between Hansbro and Big Sean is unclear at press time. Both posted $500 bail and were released shortly after.

Hours after news of Sean's arrest surfaced his attorney, Scott E. Leemon, issued a statement assuring that both men will be exonerated.

"I am confident, that after further investigation, both men will be vindicated," said Leemon. Stay tuned as this story develops. —Mariel Concepcion
