It's been a bit of a wait, but Jay-Z and Kanye West have finally announced the official release date of their collaborative effort, Watch the Throne, as well the formation of their supergroup and plans to go on a Watch the Throne tour.

As it appeared on the Island Def Jam website, the label West is currently signed to, Jay and 'Ye have come together to form the duo The Throne and plan on releasing their highly-anticipated set exclusively on iTunes on August 8. It will then be available at retail stores on August 12.

Tickets for their tour will go on sale on the same day of the iTunes release. But, starting July 28, fans can visit Live Nation’s website for a pre-sale, which includes a digital copy of the album with each purchase. The fall trek will kick off September 22 in Detroit and visit cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Atlanta before wrapping up November 3 in Boston.
