Juelz Santana Reveals More Details on Diplomats Movie

The expression “It’s a movie” will soon take on a literal meaning for The Diplomats. As previously reported, Jim Jones recently told XXLMag.com his Harlem-bred crew is presently working on a film. While Jones confessed to accidentally spilling the beans prematurely and remained relatively tight-lipped about the project, Juelz Santana shared a few details with XXL, including the flick's working title, Diplomatic Immunity.

"It’s gon' be [about] the break up and us gettin' back together leadin' into the album," Juelz told XXL. "The album is gonna be like the soundtrack to the movie. It’s just gonna be everything from [Cam'ron] meeting Biggie to him meeting me and us becoming The Diplomats."

Don't expect a documentary. The Dips are presently looking for a screenwriter to turn their story into a feature film. Per Cam's request, each crew member is currently compiling a list of  their personal 20 greatest Diplomats moments they'd like to see incorporated in the movie.

"It’s gonna be a movie like the way they did Notorious," Juelz explained. "But we’re just gonna be playin' ourselves. That might be the first [movie] where we get to play ourselves instead of havin' people. We’ll do it when we’re younger, but as it gets to us we’ll really play ourselves, cut the hair off our face so we look younger and shit like that."

"Cam might have to gain some weight from when he was big," he continued. "Jim would have to grow his braids back, get some extensions and all that 'cause he cut his hair. We gon' figure it out, but we gon' do it right."
