Video Recap: The Roots Picnic & Hot 97 Summer Jam

This past weekend was a busy one for live hip-hop music in the Northeast. On Saturday in Philadelphia, hundreds gathered for The Fourth Annual Roots Picnic, which featured healthy rap showcase. Nas (backed by The Roots), Wiz Khalifa, Yelawolf, and Mac Miller all performed at the outdoor festival, which spilled over from the afternoon into late in the night. The next day, just up the road in New Jersey, New York's Hot 97 held their annual Summer Jam at the New Meadowlands Stadium. To close out the weekend, favorites like Lil Wayne, Drake, Rick Ross, Fabolous, LLoyd Banks and more hit the stage.
