This year is turning out to be an interesting one for Tupac Shakur. The late great rapper will be reaching several milestones in life and death. September 13th will mark the 15-year anniversary of 'Pac's tragic death; and his first LP, 2Pacalypse Now, will be celebrating the 20-year anniversary of its release on November 12. Yesterday (June 15), in a shocking turn of events, a former associate of James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond, confessed to shooting 'Pac in a botched 1994 robbery under orders from Rosemond. The news broke on the eve of what would have been 'Pac's 40th birthday (June 16). Today, XXL celebrates 'Pac's born day by looking back at 40 photos of the icon.— XXL Staff
