Really, BET? We’re going to go out on a limb and say Nicki Minaj will win the 2011 Best Female Hip-Hop Artist award by a landslide. Let’s look at her “stiff” competition shall we? When was the last time you heard someone say, “That new Angel Lola Love album is fire?” Don’t worry, we’ll wait. Maybe it’s because the video vixen-turned-rapper hasn’t even released an official single yet— let alone an album. Have we mentioned that people don’t consider her an MC? Interestingly, Trina who released her fifth studio album, Amazin‘, in 2010 (which debuted at no. 13 on the Billboard 200, was snubbed in favor of Master P’s daughter Cymphonique. No Diamond Princess? No Pay Pal record-breaking Lil’ Kim? Fuck Outta Here! We understand it’s slim pickings for female spitters nowadays, but why not just kill the category? Only four femcees were not nominated instead of five like all other categories. Spoiler Alert: And the award goes to…Nicki Minaj

    That Lola Monroe Overtime feat Trina was a good song for her, even had a debut on 106 n park, I dont see how Trina didnt get that nomination being the only female to actually crack the billboard besides Nicki..a huge fuckup on their part and a even more nastier tone to this article. That chick lola monroe been going hard for the past 2 years or so, songs with boosie,rasheeda, trina etc..multiple videos and interviews..She has gotten way better and I think she did deserve the nomination…hit me @grampaill if you really wanna debate that..

    Second of all the award should be titled “2011 Best Female POP Artist” . .that would make it a little more interesting.
