Today (Feb. 3), Keith Jenkins--alternately known as K E I T H, formerly known as Stunnaman from The Pack--shares "Beautiful Chicago," his collaboration with his old group mate Lil B and Chance The Rapper. The song is reportedly culled from the sessions for B and Chance's Free: Based Freestyles Mixtape, which pulled the young Chicagoan into the Berkeley cult hero's creative orbit.

The song adheres to one of the familiar based formats: trap hi-hats with plenty of room to breathe. The chemistry between the two former Pack members is palpable, and Chance once again sounds liberated by the medium.

B's most recent project was the well-received Thugged Out, Pissed OffThat set clocks in at 63 songs--which the Berkeley rapper said on Twitter was meant to amount to three discs' worth of material. His diss aimed at the Canadian singer The Weeknd was included, as were songs dedicated to the physicist Stephen Hawking and the talk show host Maury Povich. It's not quite as long as the odyssey-like '05 Fuck Em, but it's a substantial undertaking nonetheless.

Chance has remained quiet on the solo music front since the middle of 2013, when he dropped his critically adored breakthrough mixtape Acid Rap. Last year, he made extensive contributions to Surf, the album by his creative collective The Social Experiment and officially credited to Donnie Trumpet. The MC has frequently hinted at a nascent third mixtape, and has dropped a pair of singles in support of it, but details remain scant. It's expected some time in the first half of 2016.
