Thank you, Sha. Thank you. Honestly what seperates Justin Beiber from Aaron Carter, The Jonas Bros., or miley Cyrus? Nothing execpt that the marketing of the machine and guilible tween fans. And Drake is just a carbon copy of Kanye just laced with commercial R&B flavor. Spalding is a remarkable artist. Also true Jay’s album was slightly better but to be honest both albums were basically as average as a Nelly album. The only thing that would’ve been better that night was for Janelle Monae to have won instead of Usher, that piss-poor ass Micheal Jackson immitator whose album wasn’t even fucking near the caliber of “Confessions”.

AND NO SPEAKERBOXX/LOVE BELOW WAS NOT A HIP-HOP ALBUM, SPEAKERBOXX WAS BUT NOT LOVE BELOW, HINTS WHY IT WON. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A STRAIGHT HIP-HOP ALBUM TO WIN ALBUM OF THE YEAR AND THERE NEVER WILL BE BECAUSE THE GRAMMIES ONLY GIVE AWARDS TO WOMEN OR WHAT IS POPULAR ALL AROUND.

TWO THINGS I CAN SAY ABOUT THE GRAMMIES….

First…. The show absolutely sucked. No host (more cheese for Grammies), too many categories (more cheese for Grammies), and too many gimmicky superstars (Lady GaGa in a fuckin’ egg?! More cheese for Grammies). The Grammies are now being run like Mickey D’s after going public. It’s all about more money for them and less about the artists.

Second…. As much as I hated the show, I think the judges got it right. I heard Drake’s CD. I heard Justin Bieber’s CD. There is no way in hell any of those artists deserved to win above Esperanza Spalding. And that’s on some real shit. Sure, Drake will undoubtedly call his music art. But put that shit next to Esperanza’s cd and he gets a hot dookie stick for that one. Shorty’s shit was more artistic, hella more complicated, and definitely pushed her genre beyond your typical “Old Ass Dude Listening To Jazz” shit. The Grammies got that one right.

Eminem? Ok… He had the best selling album of the year. But just because you push more units (what up BEP) doesn’t mean you automatically should get that award. Truth be told, his latest album gets the “ashy ass” compared to that Marshal Mathers LP. This album was decent at best. And on some real shit, Jay-Z’s album was better than Eminem’s. What, Eminem deserves the trophy because he overcame some pill poppin’ and a couple of his boys died? Hell no! The album was good, but the Grammies got this one right.

What aggreviates me why they don’t respect rap. Drake easily had the best album of the 2010 noms, EM’s shit was ok , Jay’s shit was bunk and im huge fans of them since the 90′s fam. Drake was the biggest thing to hip hop since 50 cent (who also got snubbed). Any rapper who has a big year gets rejected fuck the grammies, its been wack since ODB indirectly said so.

What an upset for album of the year. And I’m a little iffy about them not giving the ArchAndroid any props, but at the same time giving Esperanza Spalding best new artist. As much as I commend it, why choose raw talent over fanbase in one category and not the other? Oh well.
