50 Cent Working With David Guetta

We gotta feeling that 50 Cent is going for a different sound on his new solo album, Black Magic.

Last year, Fif told MTV News that while on tour in Europe, he was inspired by the dance music he heard while out in the clubs and had recorded some uptempo tunes to reflect his new interest. Well just yesterday he tweeted a picture with electronic superstar David Guetta announcing that they just finished working together for the album.

“This me and David Guetta in the studio,” he wrote as a caption to the photo, “we just made a big hit for his album suckers lol.”

This isn’t the first time the French house DJ has collaborated with hip-hop artists. Known for his working with the Black Eyed Peas on their smash hit “I Gotta Feeling,” Guetta has also put in time behind the boards with Kid Cudi, Flo Rida and Akon.

Black Magic is expected to drop this summer. This disc, 50’s fifth solo studio LP, will reportedly have appearances from Eminem, Lil’ Kim, Busta Rhymes, Akon and Swizz Beatz, according to MTV News.

I guess 50 is throwing all kinds of stuff against a wall to see what will stick. His old formula isn’t working….

I’ll go on record as saying that he might sell 100,000 units the first week of his new release. And that’s being generous….

You can’t take that long off and expect to still push big units. Just ask Nelly.

    “His old formula isn’t working….”

^ have you heard the happy new year freestyle and songs after that? all are of his original formula homie, and they are very well done.

  • Sha

    @$ykotic….

His formula works for the tried and true fan…. Yes. But in the landscape of music….no.

To be truthful about 50 is painful. It’s hard to hear that he fell off. But what goes up must come down. That’s the basis of life. So accept the fact that 50 has become mortal. It’s not dissin’ him. It’s a fact.

He just doesn’t have enough artistry to sustain his music career any further. 50 isn’t a producer. Musical curiosity is something you come into the game with. It’s not developed because your sales started falling off. You can’t buy a win (ask the Redskins). That is earned.

While some of his business moves have been genius, he made the cardinal sin…. Business 101….. Surround yourself with winners…. 50 only has people that won’t challenge his authority, question his motives, or make any individual thought. Buck against his system and you’re out. You can’t build longevity with that approach. Especially if you’re not a true “Artist”.

    Sorry. These are facts.

      ^^^

so does that mean you didn’t hear his latest offerings? because it reads like i’m a delusional fan and can’t realize 50 fell off due to the intangibles you stated so I shouldn’t waste my time…

      • Sha

        @$ykotic…

I’ve heard his recent music. It’s good. But it’s good sans 2003.

Look at the musical landscape. It’s changed. As dope as I thought Public Enemy, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, and MC Lyte were, the landscape changed on them. If you’re not a true “artist” or you’re not dope at the politics of the music biz, there’s no way in hell you can keep up. Especially after you’ve gained a ton of loot and dissed almost every cat in the game. The brightest stars burn out the quickest. And 50 is in that category. He is not an artist that will be around long term. He just doesn’t have the chops and his political skills suck.

And I’m not dissin’ you and calling you a rabid fan, so don’t take it so personal. But you need to understand what’s happening. The giant has fallen.

        • $ykotic

          1. that ’6 Out of 6′ new song is weak…

          2. I understand what you’re saying. with me, I wasn’t on the 50 wagon when he started. I heard him, but I wasn’t listening. I didn’t start listening until ’09 (although I been had ‘Power Of The Dollar’), so believe it or not, I’m listening to another rapper dude, instead of the “great” 50 Cent who’s super paid and has lost his hold on the music over the years.

I really wana hate 50 cuz I haven’t liked him since GetRich or Die Trying (the album), but he does make some good moves with associations in Hollywood doesn’t he ( :

  • KING Mag is better

i like how they got the album name wrong lol, its return of the heartless monster now
and sha, youre disguising being a hater with “facts”. its not your decision whether he fell off, maybe you dont like it but im sure there are a lot of ppl who still do…

    • Sha

      @King Mag is better….

      So now I’m a hater….

But before you try to give me that title, answer some questions for me….

Am I disguising the sales of his last album? Nope.

Am I disguising the fact that he only likes people that say “Yes” to him and don’t question his decisions? Nope. Ask The Game, Buck, and to some extent Lloyd Banks.

And speaking of Lloyd Banks, how many units did he push on his last album?

Am I disguising the fact that 50 has no political skills? Nope. Just ask Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine and even Jigga.

Everything I said is backed up with numbers…..

      My question is…..

      WHAT DO YOU HAVE????
