The Notorious B.I.G. Murder Investigation Reopened

Thirteen years since The Notorious B.I.G.’s murder, a task force is still actively investigating the unsolved case.

According to CNN, a couple of months ago authorities received new information that caused them to reopen the case. The exact specifics on the new information are confidential, but a law enforcement source told the news network that the LAPD, the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office and the FBI are all looking into it.

The beloved rap star was gunned down on March 9, 1997 leaving a party in Los Angeles. Many people believe it stemmed from the heated war between the East and West Coast rap scenes. —Elan Mancini
