Last Wednesday (December 15) wasn’t the first time G. Dep visited cops at Manhattan’s 25th precinct to confess to a 1993 murder.

According to New York’s Daily News, the former Bad Boy rapper attempted to admit to the 17 year old shooting last summer.

A source with the NYPD told the paper that Dep—who has been struggling with drug problems over the last decade—was “high as a kite” when he first entered the precinct. Authorities tried to interview the ex-Diddy protégé but were unsuccessful, and he was able to leave.

As previously reported, the rapper confessed to shooting a man named John Henkel during a botched outside an East Harlem housing project on October 19, 1993 in an effort to clear his conscience. He was unaware that Henkel died.

Dep was indicted for murder charges earlier today (December 21) by a Manhattan grand jury. If convicted, he faces 25 years to life. —Elan Mancini
