Jesse: Here’s something to think about — the best verse so far from Good Friday is Nicki and the best beat is from Bink – “Devil In A New Dress”

Thomas: OK, what’s your favorite line on “Monster”

Matt: Kanye brought an amazing word into the hip-hop conscious, though: “sarcophagus”

Matt: When drunk in a club, that’s the part of the song that I’ll chant the loudest

Matt: I bet Kanye wrote that entire verse just as an excuse to say “sarcophagus” in a song

Brooklyne: **Everyone starts playing the song in their headphones**

Jesse: “And I’m all up all up all up in the bank in the funny face” LOL! I die everytime

Brooklyne: It’s the “sarcophagus” line by far

Thomas: “Just killed another career, it’s a mild day” I think Nicki’s voices and all that are bells and whistles, smoke and mirrors

Matt: I agree that Nicki’s voices are wearing a bit thin

Thomas: I think they take away from what is a very good verse

Anslem: Thats why she’s singing now

Rob: I don’t mind the voices, it adds entertainment value. Nicki’s voices > Eminem’s voices

    IMHO….”Lord, Lord, Lord” was the worst track of the series. I have no interest in hearing that song again. Rank = Dead last.

    “Monster” was hot, and I agree, Nicki murdered that track. The voices definitely add to her verse, although a whole cd of voices…eehhhh. Ye did his thing too, “Have you ever had sex with a pharaoh…ahhh, put the pussy in a sarcophagus”. Rank = Third

    “Good Friday” – Cudi of course did his thing on the hook…”I know the city gettin’ ready for me”. It was easily the second hottest track in my opinion. Rank = Second

    “Devil in a new dress” – is smooth, I love the beat and Ye’s flow. Plus I know a female like that, so a brotha can relate. “Power (Remix)” – Jay and Kanye, how could you not like this song. Both are tied fourth (easily better than anything else on the radio, but when comparing the series it’s tough). They’re tied in my opinion cause I like them both for different reasons. “New Dress” – is just so laid back and smooth, while “Power” just gets me hype.

    “So Appalled” – ehhh….it was a good track, and I agree RZA (thumbs down)…he didn’t need to be on there. Rank = Sixth

    While the XXL staff wasn’t feeling “Christian Dior Denim Flow”, is beyond my understanding. I don’t know why Ye decided to tape his verse over the phone like Shyne, but it doesn’t take away from the track too much. Although, I don’t think everyone got enough time on the track; but who really wants to listen to a 10 minute track. Rank = First

    I like them all, why do we always have to rank things. Enjoy the music. If these songs were an album, minus maybe a few features( I dont have a problem with Rza, Swizz gets annoying though), it would be great. Yall just noticed the Jay Z complaints. Thats the one reason why I have felt much of his recent stuff, he doesnt talk about anything but how he’s the greatest and we should bow and worship. His verse on that Usher song is the best veerse I’ve heard from him since BP3.

    Nicki’s verse is epic tho. entertaining, energetic, creative, boastful, and she murdered two of the best doing it.

    i don’t feel like ranking the songs, not b/c it’s not a fun, valid discussion but b/c it’s too difficult. so appalled is somewhere near the top and the one with lloyd banks is certainly on the bottom, at least partly due to kanye phoning it in.

    fun ‘fact’: kanye has now made one series of music better than 2/3 of jay-z’s ‘esteemed’ blueprint series. ha!

    I’m split down the middle on these.. I like Monster, Devil in a New Dress, GOOD friday, and Lord Lord Lord. Unimpressed by the Christian Dior shit, the Power remix and So Appalled, but maybe they will grow on me later on.

    even the Bieber track was nice. It was cool to hear Mos Def and Raekwon again, plus Charlie wilson on the hooks!!! that is crazy!!! Uncle Charlie still got it! I think he should get Crooked I on one of these weeks!! that would be the sh!t!

    Don’t Stop is the best Good Friday track…but that just dropped yesterday haha.

    One of the best verses came from Jay-Z, but on So Appalled. That verse was killer. That and his verse on the Power remix.

    I don’t like Monster, I think it’s just ok.

    The G.O.O.D friday series has been a revelation.Yeah other artists have done it before but no where near this standard.Out of all the joints So appalled stands out with devil in a blue dress coming a close 2nd.my favourite line is “all of y’all can suck my balls thru my drawls” Seriously guys with the crs joint last night i’d go as far as saying IT IS better than recovery!!!!!!!!!

    Pretty much all the songs are wack. I voted for Lord Lord Lord just because it has Rae & Mos but even that song itn’t all that good. Lately Raekwon has been making some questionable guest appearances, not that his verses are some garbage or anything, but Justin Beiber come on man.
    I haven’t and probably won’t take the time to download the songs, not even worthy of being in my iPod Library.
