6 MCs DJ Muggs Needs to Collaborate With ASAP

GOODIE MOB
After the Atlanta quartet’s successful reunion show last September, longtime Dungeon Family supporters have been chomping at the bit for an official Goodie Mob reunion LP. Sadly, with Cee-Lo ready to drop another solo album, a new GM record is a way’s off, not to mention far from certain. Perhaps something outside the group’s norm could inspire them to reassemble. Sure, an all Organized Noize-produced Goodie Mob long-player is more ideal, but give the Mob’s sole Muggs-backed joint a listen here and tell us you wouldn’t welcome 10 or 11 more songs of its kind.

DJ Muggs feat. Goodie Mob “Decisions, Decisions” [from Soul Assassins, Chapter 1, 1997]

Immortal technique – bring the heat

Sean P, Xzibit would be good

Kool G rap would be legendary

    basically muggs should never stop

  • El Tico Loco

They all would be great. Rock would be nice too (he actually needs a solo album period). I also picture Ghostface, Raekwon, Doom, Crooked I, Fashawn hell Nas would be dope.

  • BeerGangsta

DJS make the world go around. Kool G Rap will get MVP out of the click. Xyzibt will be second. MC Eith will be third. Kyrupt will be fourth. Sean Price will be fifth. Goodie is last. Trade Goodie Mob for Outkast. Smart move DJ Mug.

It’s a toss-up. Kurupt killed it. I’m partial to X. But Sean P. did his thing.

I would love to see DJ Muggs fuck with Jay Electronica next!!!

  • ruffi mane

the DJ Muggs/Sick Jacken collabo has been the best so far, Muggs should collab with one of Jacken’s homies Conejo. C-0-N’s the hardest rapper out, easily

  • Face Phoenix

I wasn’t feeling this list at first but the last three were worthy of the print. Xzibit could use a resurrection, Sean Price would make a solid project and Kool G. Rap as well but I still would prefer to see a Xzibit/Muggs Album or EP.

Muggs is def an ill producer…i’m sure his shit will sound crazy with Ill Bill…All these niggaz are dope artists who would sound dope on a gang load of Mugg’s tracks….X to the Z, Kurupt, Kool G Rap, Goodie Mob, MC Eiht…been waitin on new shit from alot of these niggaz

  • ridda

Xzibit and MC Eiht would do Muggs justice the best if you ask me

  • A.R. Marks

    PRODIGAL SUNN.

This guy is a grossly underrated spitter and he’s appeared on at least a couple of Muggs Vs. albums so far. I keep waiting on a joint album but alas….

  • A.R. Marks

Also both Kurupt and Goodie have spit over Muggs tracks more than you’ve mentioned: for the former, he was on a couple of the Cypress Hill albums (late ’90′s/early ’00′s) and the latter appeared on his Soul Assassins II (Somethin’ to Ride to) and Muggs co-produced the Still Standing track “Inshallah” with Organized Noize (!!)
