Take Off: Curren$y’s Playlist To Smoke To

After releasing a slew of mixtapes for free and independent albums in the last few years, Curren$y dropped his major label debut, Pilot Talk, yesterday. The album title became a Trending Topic on Twitter yesterday and remained in the iTunes Top 10 Albums overnight. Ski Beatz handles most of the production for the record, creating a sound and feeling, along with Spitta, that is perfect to spark one to. And even though he wasn’t able to burn one (or five or ten, as he probably would’ve liked) when he came through for last week’s Channel Live, Curren$y checked in with XXLMag.com on the day of his album’s release to tell the people what he would have been blasting while blazing, had he got his way. JETS.

      I feel you man, most hip-hop is a little bit hectic for the chill out session, with a few exceptions, despite me being a huge cypress hill fan!
      i’m way more for a bit of psychadelic rock (cream, the small faces) or some trip-hop Massive attck type ish – nice and chilled and with a bit of sonic depth.

      most of these joints get me pumped TO smoke though!

    Ey….I can feel the outkast and snoop joints. Love the Devin the Dude jam….but I think he had some better cuts that would go with the ganja partaking!! Crumblin’ Herb is my shit tho!!!       Come on man, there’s music for all occassions and what some people want to smoke to others want to party to or drive to or whatever. loving other kinds of music doesn’t make you any less of a hip-hop head, in fact it makes you appreciate hip-hop all the more.
      in fact i’d go so far as to say if you don’t love other kinds of music you can’t love hip-hop in its entirety.

    We had a lovely trip with my family yesterday. We didn’t use our car but we just rented a car from a car rental since my husband uncomfortable of the rough road. It was still fun because my husband was able to pick a good car. These are those times when car rentals can be beneficial.

    I visited to the dentist a last month to have my braces on. I’m still having problems in eating because of the wires. I also noticed that I’m having a lot of cuts inside my mouth because of the wires and I consider it very undesirable. When I was little I’ve always wanted to become a dentist. That’s the reason why I went to the university to study dentistry. I’m already in my second year and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to pass in all the courses so that I can finish soon enough and be able to practice my dream job . We were playing at the pool Saturday when I accidentally tripped and hit my face on the ground . I thought nothing was wrong when I realizes I lost my front tooth. It was later that I realized that my mouth was full of blood because of the lost tooth. We immediately went to the dentist to get it fixed .

    My cousin loves to read old poems and literary works about life in general. She actually convinced me one time to participate a poetry reading session and it was a wonderful event for me because the literary works we discussed were a good read.
