A year ago today, fans, family and the entire music industry began mourning the loss of Michael Jackson. On June 25, 2009, the King of Pop died at the age of 50. While his passing left millions of people across the world with grief, the everlasting musical legacy that he left behind also caused many to celebrate. After 365 days, the music still hasn’t stopped. In remembrance of Michael, XXLMag.com lists some of the best (50 to be exact) hip-hop songs that sample MJ’s work. We got everybody from Jay-Z and 2Pac to Nas and N.W.A. Sha’mone!

    That song makes me thankful for everything i have good or the bad everytime i hear it.Ghost spitting some truth only those who live it can understand. Happy i didn’t but respect to those who pulled through.

    as an aside, it’s not so much the sample – but Apostle’s Warning has got to be one of the dopest head banging Mobb tracks ever – be it the vintage Havoc beat or Prodigy verse – he actually rips the track a whole new asshole… why can’t these young rappers attempt anything remotely as intricately plotted and metaphorically stimulating as P’s verse on this track?

As a matter of fact looking at the list its 7 more off top dat I kno didnt sample Jackson! lol. I kno ya’ll wanna dickride and give Mike credit but get the samples right.
