LeRoy Benros’ Noizy Cricket!! imprint has re-signed his label to an extension under Universal Music Group.

Benros’ label, in conjunction with Sarah Stennett’s Turnfirst Records, will work together to create a platform to develop artists before they sign to a major label. Noizy Cricket!! operates as an indie label for upcoming talent, where they receive backing of a major label with upstream capabilities.

“Year one was more about making the transition from manager to label head while building the infrastructure of Noizy Cricket!!,” Benros says in a press release. “Year two is about pin pointing exciting artists that we want to build and launch globally.”

Benros was the former director of booking at SOB’s in New York, and has managed the careers of Angel Haze, Das Racist and now Bishop Nehru. He will work closely with A&R, management and marketing personnel of his roster with Universal.
