I never thought so. But of course you have to come to the combine in shape and physically ready and its also a good way for the NFL to get to meet the players more closely. The only thing that the combine guarantees is more or less money you will potentially make, because in terms of football its what you've done "on the field" that REALLY matters to me.

OF COURSE. If one were to fuck up at the combine it could lose them money, draft status, or becoming a free agent. NFL scouts put a hell of a lot of emphasis on the combine these days probably more than ever. The real elite players like Mike Williams though, could have a shitty combine workout and he could still be a Top 10 Pick. He may be the best overall player in this draft. A future Hall of Famer is what Mike Williams has to look forward to.
