Everyone OTHER THAN Vince Carter [I'm a Raptor fan-so I know what Im talkin bout] and Yao Ming deserve to be there. I just hope Chris Bosh from the Raps gets to the all-star game.

Yao and Shaq surpassed the single season record for votes this season...Yao did get more though.
Also...Steve Nash is said to probably be named the starting PG because of KB8's injury.
I can post my NBA.com emails if y'all want me to make a thread and do it daily...I was goin too but didn't know if it would be a waste of time.
If Yao Ming can make the All-Star game PERIOD....there needs to be a change in how the players are selected.

^^I agree. I think Amare should've started at center, but he's listed as a forward. Brad Miller would've been better than Yao.

Yao got in on votes but he is far form shawn bradley. His numbers no where compare to Yao's and Vince Carter starts all the time because of votes. If you gotta problem with who starts then you gotta vote the fans vote the starting five and the nba picks the reserves. Just glad to see my boy grant hill back in all-star game that boy can play.
Only reason Yao Ming is a starter is cuz he has such fan support. Not that much in the U.S or Canada, but he has millions of his homies back in China.
The fans in China do help Yao get a lot of votes, but it is not like people in America don't vote for him. There is another Chinese player in the NBA, but I don't see his ass in the All-Star game. Amare would be the only player that I think should start over Yao, but they said that he is listed as a forward, so then Yao is the only center worth playing. Brad Miller is the only one that I can see that can compete with him for starting center in the West.

Yao does drop about 18 points and 8 boards a game. that's more than bradley ever did
