I know many of you have heard of Carol M. Swain. Carol M. Swain, Vanderbilt professor of political science and law, appointed to the National Council on the Humanities. The appointment is for a six-year term.
Have anyone read any of her books?
I'm really not into racism, but I'm going to check it out. The book is called The New White Nationalism in America: Its Challenge to Integration By Carol Miller Swain:

http://books.google.com/books?id=HB1wyFPRG...esult#PPA490,M1The how and the who is just scenery for the public. Keeps 'em guessing, prevents 'em from asking the most important question, Who benefited? Who has the power to cover it up? Who? One may smile and smile and be a villain."
One!
This has nothing to do with the book, the book is very well written. And focus on the challenge of integration. But, I wonder, why do so many White Nationalist find it easy to turn conservative black women against black men? And why do so many conservative black women feel there are not that many good black men out there. Does a pay check count as a good men? on their level, or is it being with that man around their peers feeling accepted or is it feeling deprived of their own culture after attending predominantly white schools their whole life, parents sending them to an all white school district, because it's better than a predominantly black school district. Is that why? Why do so many conservative black women feel the only interesting smart Black men are in college? We know what black culture mean to college students, clothes, shoes, the way they talk, look like a rap star, you know, Foot Locker clothes, clothes with flava, cars with big rims, acting ignorant, that has nothing to do with black culture, that's what they see on videos & movies 9 times out of 10 a white person was in control of that artist image. Black consciousness means something to me.
But, like I said this has nothing to do with the book. The book is very good, so read it.
