NAS... says... "hip hop is dead..."

Hip hop is dead to Nas, because he strayed so far from the Underground that he didn't know how to get back, and then he lost most of his true fans..

He went for the crossover audience not white not black just crossover. He couldn't get the exposure he wanted...
...OR WASN'T HAPPY with, the kind of exposure he was getting.

So he re-invented himself. He spread himself so thin that he couldn't pull himself together... But now no matter what he try's to do the Underground Hip Hop culture is like WTF?

I just want to know How can the fans live by his words, or ride for his cause, and they don't, even know what his cause is.... He doesn't even know what his cause is, Or what side of the fence he's on.
He's an MC / gangsta / drug dealer / abstract artist / actor / drug user / damn I'm confused.

This is why you rappers can't compare
Yourselves to 2pac. He had a direction, a sense of who he was. What his movement stood for. His knowledge of who the real enemy is. His passion for the liberation of blacks was so deep rooted. His skill of the arts. His liniage and history...

You can't get any closer to what true Hip Hop is all about...

Or how jayz's CD "Kingdom Come"flopped, and he's allowed to put out "American Gangster"
