Czar Entertainment CEO Jimmy Henchmen is moving beyond the music industry and tapping into new endeavors, as he has launched several high-profile film and television ventures this year.
In addition to managing the career of rap star The Game, who recently released his album L.A.X, Czar is expanding into film with "Belly 2," the straight-to-DVD sequel to the 1998 cult classic original.
"We originally had a different title for the film," Henchmen explained. "We shot it about three years ago. When we struck our deal with Lion's Gate Films, who owns the right to "Belly," they really wanted us to rename the project "Belly 2." It was going to have a limited theater release, but due to the current market climate for urban films, we opted for DVD."
