Only if what u stated were the truth....growing up playing ball Kobes favorite player was Mike D'Antoni... who wore #8 in the italian leagues... so to pay homage to his once favorite player he took the same # but after the playoff loss to the Suns (which D'Anotni coaches) he changed it up and went to his old playing number (24) in high school.....knowledge has officially been dropped.
