This topic is in concerns of this message board. 2 or 3 years ago, this message board was active, having about 10-30 users a day, active in every topic and forum section. Which is around the same time that moderators didn't exist and every user had an equal amount of posting powers and abilities. It was safe to say that the message board in the past was considered one of the best and well-known hip-hop forum, but time has passed and this is what the message board has become:


1. Moderators: As a fellow moderator and person who is active on the site, I believe that having moderators has made things a bit unfair, as far a being a user is concerned. More than half the moderating team has banned and fully restricted posting abilities to users for reasons unjustified. In the past, we didn't have moderators and that made everything equal as far as a user is concerned. Although some moderators have been doing there job and quite well, I believe having moderators makes the user seem unworthy and doesn't want to join the site. So as a moderator and a active user, I'm asking to revoke all mod's and make every user on thie site have equal powers.


2. Color: The color scheme now is not appealling to users. In the past, it was Black/Smoke Gray and Red, and I believe that the color scheme attractted alot of users and newcomers to the forum. So I'm also asking for you to change the color scheme back to the original color, which is Black/Smoke Gray and Red.




These are more reasons that users are not active to the site, but I believe if this has been changed, I believe that the message board will be active again.

Some of the mods you appointed are not active at all,mods like J B,ATL Undagrind,and cryza36 have not been active on this board for SEVERAL months.

ive been active and i delete spam and get rid of spammers

i havent banned anyone cause of beefs or anything.

the time i banned everyone was when i was hacked.

but thats fixed now

I think moderators are needed. I agree that can sometimes cause problems too, but I can not be on the boards all the time so we need community moderators.

What does everyone else think about moderators and board colors?

i think you need to reasign the mod spots for people who acutally come on here and stay active....ummm like me. i've been asking for a spot for the longest...and tdot she is normal. all the other normal people are mods. like sets, bone, and silvita...thats about it.

i can agree with some of the people like cryza or atl undergrind being replaced because they dont come on often....i come and remove spam when possible, and have unbanned members in the past, i only banned one person because i got alot of complaints about him, but that was it...and yes jason the color scheme does suck..lol, i think it should either go back to the way u had it when u first re did the board after the old board, or go back to the original board grimey colors..lol, but that first skin u had after u got rid of the old board is better

Returning to the topic at hand.

As far as mods are concerned, I believe Jason has a point. He cannot be here ALL the time to 'baby-sit' us, so the idea of having mods seems appropriate. (We've had a history of spammers and ridiculous beef that has accumulated WAAAAY more complaints than having mods). However, users who complain about mods not being active ALL the time should really consider the reasons as to WHY that could be. Obviously Jason appointed MORE than one mod for the fact that neither of us can be here all day. That's not to say that certain mods should STILL have mod privileges when they may not even check on the site in MONTHS. My computer was down for over two months, but any chance that I had when I was at the library typing a paper, I would drop by. So in conclusion, I'm all for mods. (But revising WHO should be mod is also a suggestion).
BUUUUUUUT the color scheme... black/red/gray should make a comeback!

Mods are needed maybe two for each section i think more than two is too much.

I think we should, pick new mods. B/c some of the people havn't been here. I understand that your computer is down vita, but some of these people are on other sites activly and don't come here. I'm not complaing about people not coming to the site...But It's not right for people to be mods and they dont contribute to the site.

Personally...I think it was better when we had only a few sections...XXL Mag, Hip Hop Section, Sports, Eye Candy and the Battle section...since we added all these extra ones oh yeah and that the site was down for months, its seems like people have disapeared. And we need to do some cleaning out of mods. Some people just shouldn't have authority...if you know what i mean.
