I happen to see the commerical, and I'm saying to myself, this is THE most fucked-up movie concept to date. To make money off of an event that has killed thousands of people. Me personally, I'm not seeing this movie, but this topic just asks:

Have you seen the commerical for this movie? What are your thoughts on it, and are you planning on seeing it?

if u think about it tho there are lots of true story movies about times where a mass amounts of people have been killed. the people want to tell the story of the brave men and women that tried to save people from the wreckage imo of the commercial. the people making the movie most likely feel that enough time has passed to be able to tell the story so that people involved will not feel hurt.

i myself will probably watch it, not in theatres or anything. but will probably rent.

Nicolas Cage is a good actor.

I know alot of movies was made due to traggic moments in history, what I was trying to say is, the war/fight is still going on, and it really wouldn't be wise to do something like that. I could understand or be more compassionate about it if the event happened when everything has been settled, or at when Bush is not in office anymore

Nicholas Cage is a good actor as well, all I'm just saying is, it's kinda messed up they would make a movie like that and alot of madness is still going on due this event

I think this is too early to be making this movie. This even happen less than 10 years ago! WTF! this is to soon for this type of b/s!

no, it's WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too early. It's only been 5 years, the pearl harbor movie came out in 2001, 60 years after the tragedy. It's too soon, Americans are still harboring hostile feelings towards Arabs and Muslims, plus it's not like we've forgotten. 9/11 been mentioned every year since it happened. It's too soon

Theres been tv programmes doing documentries etc... So why not a movie? They did it with vietnam :l
SilvitaLikeWHOA
i havent seen the commercials.. but i do co-sign with most of u and its DEFINITELY WAAAAAAAY TOO SOON.. like Pearl Harbor was mentioned.. same thing with stories such as Titanic and other real life tragedies

part of other movies purpose was to somehow enlighten newer generations to events that happened BEFORE their time (hence the movies being made decades after the fact) but in this case i think pretty much anyone that is of age to view the movie WAS around to witness the REAL shit go down

5 yrs is not enough time IMO dry.gif

I have seen the commercials and they freak me out to be honest!!! I use to work there and it brings back all the bad memeories, especially the friends i lost. its def too early, but even if they made it 20 years later i still wouldn't see it....i still haven't visited the area....and have no interest in doing so!!! the thought of this movie disgust me

It's too early for a movie like this. Whatever company that is making this, is
.
being very insensitive towards all the lives lost and all their family members.

It doesn't even seem like five years.

I've never remembered a day so vividly. But I guess some people are all about

money. Shit like this is what makes America such a sad country. smh

from_sac_to_the_bay
imma go see it...
FunkDoctor
all depends on what ya'll feelings were when it happened, if you cried your eyes out you probably dont wanna see it.

I damn near shit myself when i heard about it, i was in new jers. at the time. I wouldnt see it to be entertained tho, niggas didnt make that shit for money, unless its a big ass production with a big ass budget
