cant just move roc a feLLa......we need u....7 albums kid....that was the deal
and that contract might be still standing''
XXL-so that means your gonna do another album ???
JAY-i dont know......my thing is...if it's nothing extraordinary...then why do it??
...it would be a great thing 4 hiphop.

didn't he do 7 albums already?
1. In my life time Vol. 1
2. Vol.2 Hard Knock Life
3. Vol.3 Life & Times of S. Carter
4. Dynasty
5. Blueprint
6. Blueprint 2
7. The Black Album

I would HOPE SO!! Hip Hop is making a comeback slowly but surely and I'd think he would like to take part in that movement...not just from a Presidents standpoint.

Dynasty never counted as a SOLO JOINT. If that was the case then he'd have over 7 because you got Best of Both Worlds and the sequel to that....plus The Unplugged Album.

I said that refering to the way Hip Hop was dying thru the abundance of wack ass rappers and groups bringing it down. Now there are people coming back, making hot ass albums, and branching out...so that's what I mean by coming back. Never meant that it left....but it was slowly being killed.

The Dynasty was like a solo album, Jay did most of the shit on there, but that CD is what put me on to beans.

Jun 26 2006, 04:59 PM
It was "LIKE" one but it wasn't a solo album. On the album cover itself doesn't it say either Rocafella presents or Jay-Z presents....the dynasty?
Not near mine but I coulda swore it does.
It was a group effort album: Hov, Beans, MBleek, and Amil

Tru, I forgot who said it but the quote was "todays rap fan is tomorrows rap critic". The beastie Boys did alot for hip hop and I think them niggaz is wack, Eminem did alot for hip hop and people now a dayz think he's wack, D4L and DFB are popular now and we think they wack. The saga continues......

I dont belive for ONE FUCKIN SECOND that RD was gonna be his only album. That bullshit.
"Why put something out if it not going to be extrodinary"????
NEGRO......P L E A S E............
He put out an album every year. Each had like, 3 great songz. Tonz of fillerz....
If he'd just waited 2 yearz between albumz, he could have made sum CLASSIC albumz, instead of rushin an album every single year....
Blueprint, RD and Hard Knock Life were classics...But tha otherz were not..

Also, I clearly explained what I meant by Hip Hop coming back...and I didn't say it must have been absent. I know everyone here knows how to read..or at least match things together, and what you're saying JUST HAPPENS TO BE THE 1ST TIME IT'S BEEN SAID...yet you sayin others(me) are saying these things. I read an interview before The Black Album came out, that
had Jay-Z talking about he wasn't gonna promote this album at all.
Basically the original idea for The Black Album was no video, no
single, no promotion, just release and see how it does. I was mad
when I saw that "Chang Clothes" video. He coulda gone out a lot
better then that. And if he drops another album, I hope that's how
he releases it.

Yeah I heard and read that same thing Chris. He should do it that way....it would go Plat wit NO PROMO AT ALL and that in itself would be unprecedented.
