My favorite fighting game is Capcom vs. SNK but the Best Fighting Game will forever be Street Fighter..

Street Fighter - Good Game, the one that basically paved the way for all Head to Head games,

Tekken - went through a long road, but overall good, great graphics, slightly difficult controlling, but good

Mortal Kombat - Started out good, but got extremely stupid in the end...

Fatal Fury - a rip-off of Street Fighter, but the movies was good, no doubt

TMNT - never played it

Killer Instinct - a rip-off of Mortal Kombat, but without the hella alot of chars, the music and stages was good and the controlling is awesome, but all in all, alright if you don't have anything to do

Soul Calibur - MiG, I don't know who ya think you are, but I can kick your ass effortlessly in this game. Graphics, Voice Acting, controlling, all top notch

Samural Showdown -no.....not really worth playing or getting...this game is the offspring of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, the controlling is retarded and half the times, the char moves on it's own, causing you to make a move that will make you lose. Everytime!

samurai showdown is classic.. it was before mortal kombat and it was the basis for battle arena toshinden and the soul caliber series..

and after careful thought, my favorite fighting game of all time is a little known genesis release called "eternal champions". shit was difficult but ill at the same time.

and kof and fatal fury arent the same thing... you have cats from all snk games in there, even tho the gameplay is the same...
