NUMBER 50: ANT BANKS
argueably the one mostly responsible to the bay area MOB sound which set the standard to not only for the sound of the northern cali, but also for its migration to the south in which they incorporated into their music. ant banks, producer turned rapper, was THE go to guy of the bay and was behind the board of both the legends of too $hort and spice one....the perfector of the "dopefiend beat"...his heavy funk-inspired bass rattled trucks for thousands of miles...

NUMBER 49: DJ U-NEEK
when you really stop to think about it, BONE thugs n harmony WOULDN'T have the success that they did, or the classic albums that they had had it not been for THIS producer...his live instrumentation influenced the emotion track for track for bone, making each album like a cinematic soundtrack everytime....

NUMBER 48: SWIZZ BEATS
i' going to be the 1st to admit, i don't really CARE for swizz, HOWEVER, i have to give props when props are due...everybody go thru a slump, that's a fact of life, however in hiphop, it's RARE to recover from that, damn near impossible...swizz beats regained his swagger, and probably BETTER now than he was when he 1st started off!! it's something about his bouncy and catchy joints that you cannot help but make your head nod...
NUMBER 47: LIL JON
without question, he IS the king of crunk!!! save all that talk that at one point, his beats were sounding the same, we were ALL still bumping them none the less, because everytime they were THAT intoxicated, but it's the joint you wouldn't EXPECTED to be produced by lil jon, that impressed me the most, most recently E-40's "tell me when to go"....lil jon is the maestro when it comes to getting the club into a total frenzy....i known PLENTY of clubs that been closed down due to a lil jon joint and we're not talking about whut we hear on the radio...but the REAL shit...

NUMBER 46: MANNIE FRESH
this former cash money in-house producer used to dominate the rap production scene...his bouncy, juicy, all live tracks got the girls racing to the dancefloor while still maintained a surplus of crazy tracks that kept the hardheads heads nodding...from "bad azz yella boi" to "HA!" to "numba 1 stunna" to helping bring the most cliche slang in rap's history (bling bling)...here's another brother that deserves to get his due, and still making hits for people today

NUMBER 45: DJ PAUL AND JUICY J
hey, they're OSCAR winners!!! nobody can't take that away from them...and that's only the APEX of a long successful career...i said before that lil jon is currently the "king of crunk" but THEY'RE the ones that FATHERED IT, even before there was a name for it! they're, up until now, probably one of the most underrated producers that came out...and much love for their success as of right now....memphis stand up!
NUMBER 44: THE HITMEN
during their reign from the mid-90's to the turn of the century, they DOMINATED the rap scene, mastered the remixed and mad puffy a EXTREMELY RICH MUTHAFUCKA because of that....without question

NUMBER 43: DA BEATMINERZ
to this DAY, enta da stage, is one of my all-time favorite albums! even before mobb deep pefected that grimey shit, da beatminerz were the ones that started it and made it the essential sound of new york during the mid-90's..

NUMBER 42: BEATNUTS
another set of producers that are EXTREMELY underrated, yet some of hiphop most MEMORABLE BEATS were created by them! it kills me to say that one of the best PRODUCED albums ever had to be CHI ALI's debut album, when the beatnuts produced ENTIRELY...and sadly chi ali SUCKS...but the beats were AMAZING...and so is their entire CATALOGUE...sans the mediorce lyricism, but production they create makes it worth listening to
NUMBER 41: DANGERMOUSE
argueably the most talented INDEPENDANT producer outside of 9th wonder...the proof was in the pudding when the grammies actrually acknowledge his talents and nominated him as PRODUCER of the YEAR...his crowning achievement was also his most controversial, when he meshed the black album with the beatle's white album....COMPLETELY, no addited drum machinery or anything, nothing but SAMPLES...and it turned out sounded better than the original....
aight that's the jump-off...i know some of y'all going to mean-mug it, but keep in mind there's still 40 more to go...to be continued
