first thing is first: THE DEFINITION
gluvnast's definition of a PRODUCER in hiphop is that a rap producer have various assignments, and it's NOT and i repeat, NOT simply just constructing a beat and that's that...
the producer oversees the the song, or collect beats from misc. beatmakers, or assign musicians and supervises and order whut he expects from them, or all of the appove. they ensure that the rapper is on point, no matter how many takes it may take, directs the engineer, and pretty much as the helm of it all...he is NOT just simply a BEAT-MAKER...even though most ARE...
but the difference between a beatmaker and a rap PRODUCER is that the beatmaker ONLY creates beats and that's that...the rap producer oversees the ENTIRE song, and makes it however he wants to make it...including vocal performances, and ect...the RAPPER is merely the PUPPET of the PRODUCER (which is why the producer gets PAID more)
so starting tomorrow i'm going to start off the 1st ten out of 50...some of them maybe well known, some of them you may not never HEARD of before...and alot of times, people are going to dispute...but it's all in fun
