R.KELLY IS THE PRINCE AND MARVIN GAYE IS THE KING

No question about R. Kelly...."I Wish" iz a heavy song...Sometimez hiz albumz have too much stuff.
Hip_Hop Zealot
Prince is the all time great of RnB.
That dude is the benchmark.
BrownEyedBandit05
Raheem DeVaughn <---REAL

If you haven't heard him, check him out...he's crazy with it and he's versatile with his shit.
Da_thick_1
i like raheem devaughn but john legend is the truth

Word.

And I also agree with Marvin Gaye because on "What's Going On" he tackeled some REAL problems in this world that are still going on. He was an individual who was going through these problems and wanted it to end.

John Legend is a genius. His CD was too classic for this era so a lot of people ignored it. That's what I hate about underrating.

Jahiem is a thug with a voice seriously. He has these crazy GHETTO CLASSICS.

Now, R. Kelly I will always praise (non-religiously, that is) he has done soooo much for this R&B shit. And I agree "I Wish" was some shit seriously. It helps me go through some real losses that I have had in life.

But for me...it has to be The Isley Brothers...they had a REAL influence on all these artists...If you go through their albums you'll notice MILLIONS of samples that artists took from them (i.e., Biggie "Big Poppa" from "Between the Sheets," Papoose - Prophecy from "For the Love Part 1 & 2," and Ice Cube "Today was a Good Day" from "Footsteps in the Dark.")

It seems like these R&B niggas is being realer than these fake Rap cats. Real talk.

I have to co-sign. In 13 years, R. Kelly has never came out with a completely wack album..and has evolved with the changing times. But the GOAT will always be Marvin Gaye.

Can anybody second a "Negro please!" It would be highly appreciated.

I think Gerald Levert needs some consideration as well. I remember I took my girl to see him on Valentine's Day a couple years ago and was blown away at the effect that nigga has over females. Women was fainting and shit and tossing keys and panties on the stage. And the nigga puts on a helluva show.
Mani aka BarzOfFiya
based on a true story about gerald levert^^^

but his pops from the o'jay's is still dope..momz old crates i dig to pull a record or two sometime for the silky nights..

but someone mentioned PRINCE before i give propz cuz i forgot bout lil man "symbol" females love him no matter what he wears sometime lol!

"do me baby" that shit will set a mood

Here we are in this big old empty room, staring each other down
U want me just as much as I want U, let's stop fooling around
Take me baby... kiss me all over... play with my love
Bring out what's been in me for far too long
Baby, u know that's all I've been dreaming of

Do Me Baby, like u never done before
Give it to me till I just can't take no more
Do Me Baby, like u never done before
I want u now, I just can't wait no more, can't wait...

Here we are looking for a reason for u to lay me down
For a love like ours is never out of season, so baby please stop teasing me
what ya do, I can never love no other, u're the best I ever had
Whenever we're not close to one another, I just want u so bad

So Do Me Baby, like u never done before
Give it to me till I just can't take no more
C'mon, Do Me Baby, like u never done before
I want u now, I just can't wait no more

I said

Do Me Baby (Do me baby)
Do Me Baby all night long (Give it to me)

Do Me Baby
I want u now
Do Me Baby
