into the rap game. reality is many come few are chosen. those that are
chosen are
chosen for a reason, what is that reason? what are these artist doing
to
get recognized by " TheSource " the biggest hip-hop publication in the
world? we need to find
out! meet s.t.r.o.n.g. the man who was picked over "the game" to be
featured in
the may/2003 issue of the source magazine. we all heard the song
"dreams"
where the game makes a very direct statment about david mays (co
founder of
"the
source") in regards to another l.a artist being picked instead of him.
then
also in the xxl magazine (issue) the game expressed his frustrations
for
the
sources' decisions. of course both artist ( the game and s.t.r.o.n.g)
are
professionals and there is no bad blood over situation. at least we
hope
not lets talk to s.t.r.o.n.g.

A writer from the source by the of name maurice bragg came a cross some
of
my
music,and he had the heart to let his boss dig in to it. I remember
that
day
getting a call from gotti from the source telling they had heard the
buzz
liked
the music and was going to do a feature on me. i rember he said
somebody
else was in that slot, but for whatever reason the chose me over that
person, at the time i was like fuck it, what issue is it going to be
in.

did you at the time, know who "the game" was?

nah not even ,but i did see homie on this underground dvd battling
this
dude name shogun from the west, but still at the time he was like
anybody
else on them dvd's.

when you heard the song "dreams" did you then feel like the game had

type of animosity for you? or was it just the source magazine that

I've been and stayed in contact wit the homie Wak form blackwallstreet

a few my nig'z from compton, but never spoke to game, yet

just doing these movie soundtracks i did "BROTHERS IN ARMS" a sony
picture, i
got the lead single off that soundtrack its a black western starring
kurrupt, kenya moore and raymond cruz, also "reprocutions" a
independant
west coast
film coming out under "image" then i got some movie things with
universal
comin
up. after that the album is coming be prepared..also i write all kinds
of
music, i'm always selling songs through ascap, i sold a song to deborah
cocks through some people, maybe some stuff i shouldnt mention.

whats the next big thing for you? whats the official single? any videos

the single is "hmmm" its outragous, youve never heard a song so catchy,
