Well, according to Fox sports, Tx passed USC because TX beat a highly ranked team (TX tech, which was #10 at the time)52-17 and USC beat another nobody. Even so, I have never seen an undefeated team ranked #1 fall out that spot unless they lost. But what kills me is that LSU fell 2 spots after being Auburn who was ranked #18 ??
The BCS is unpredictable, inconsistent, and just does not work. Any system that you have to keep adjusting year after year due to heavy criticism needs to be scrapped.
USC almost lost to ND.... that would have been bad....if they destroyed ND... USC would be ranked #1.... that also help tx be #1

technically it should of been the longhorns at number one and usc are number two in the 1st place...
minus the BCS, but usc either blew out a bunch of nobodies, or they're lazy during the 1st half of the game and start to play on the 2nd half, and almost lost to norte dame...
whereas texas have a harder conference and blowing out legit ranked teams as well like it ain't nothing...if usc play half-ass like they usually do in the 1st half of games, texas will SLAUGHTER them and usc wouldn't be able to come back....
if those two teams play against each other, texas will definately win....but debate who's number one vs. who's number two is insignificant since both are in the slots which lead up to the championship....so it really doesn't matter

Hey i dont know if you knew this, remember ur oklahoma team? the same team that used to whoop on texas every single yr, even when texas had benson, young and derrick johnson? that oklahoma team played usc in the championship last yr, and i dont know if the message got back to u, but usc DISMANTLED that team.
I SERIOUSLY dont understand this, Texas has beaten ONLY TWO LEGIT TEAMS, they beat tech and ohio state, their whole conference is a fuckin cakewalk, oklahoma sucks this yr, and every other team in the big 12 is shaky, and they somehow have a stronger schedule than USC? Fuck no, u can make the case for AN SEC TEAM, but not for texas, sorry, USC however has beaten teams like Notre Dame, Arizona ST, oregon,(ALL RANKED TEAMS) and they still have a big matchup with UCLA coming up. USC has the tougher schedule by FAR, plus they play Washington state and California? WTF, who does texas play? a bunch of nobodies in the big 12.

on the contrary i couldn't care less about usc one way or another and really i loathe texas because of being a sooner fan..that's a hostile rivalry....but that's how i currently see it...texas appear the better team, mainly because usc be bullshitting most of the time during the 1st half....try to do that with texas and they'll get burnt
but likei said, it doesnt matter, because eventually they're play for the championship (i don't see an upset between the two anytime soon, but hey it's college football...ANYTHING can happen)
By the end of the season if both Texas and USC go undefeated, they will probably end up in the national championship, which they deserve. USC still has UCLA that will bring them back to #1 in the BCS. I think Virginia Tech might go undefeated and then they will have victories over Boston College, Miami, and Florida State, which some could argue VT should be in the Rose Bowl. The same with the SEC, they might have one team. It is a shame that they won't get to play, but I can't see them playing instead of an undefeated Texas or USC team.

Dawg if you didnt know, Notre dame is a VERY good team. VERY VERY good team.
And USC beat them on the road, it was a GREAT game, but USC beat them on the road, thats a fact
And please nigga, Texas BARELY beat ohio state, BARELY, and i would go as far to say ohio state and notre dame are equivalent in talent, shit Notre Dame got way better WR's and a better QB than them, prolly better offense, only thing OSU got on them is a good lb core and secondary.

I was talking about ARIZONA STATE, not Arizona, ASU was ranked 15 when they played USC, and this is the same ASU team that nealry beat LSU, so trust, thwe team is legit.
BTW, Texas has ONE GOOD player on offense, the running backs, well theres like 2 of them, and none of them is as good as benson, the recieving core aint shit, and the defense is pretty good, but thats all the texas offense got, VINCE YOUNG, the trojans destroyed a team like oklahoma last yr, that had a multitude of talent in the offense, A peterson, White, mark clayton, etc, and texas has no one besides young, what makes you think he can shred them? the bigger question is can the texas defense stop USC and its multi faceted weapons? they have 2 GREAT RB'S, a great QB, a set of reliable WR;s and a underappreciated tight end, and a good O line, USC will demolish texas.

dawg vince young is A great QB, his arm and speed alone will make him a top NFL draft choice, he MAKES his wack ass core of WR's better, and if u havent noticed, i mean if u havent, that this yr, this is Youngs Team, there is no cedric benson or anyone to detract from this cats shine, so OFCOURSE, hes gonna pass more, run more, etc. he is the focal point of that offense now

I've heard all this shit before. Last year, they said OU defense was going to stop SC, and they didn't. Now SC defense was better than last years, that's a fact. But there offense is still there. And ya'll are forgetting one thing about the Nationl Title game; it's played IN L.A. This will be like a home game for SC. Texas defense can't stop Lienert and Bush. No defense can stop them. So Texas, if they don't get leap frog by Va Tech at the end of the year, will get there asses handed to them by SC

Notre Dame had THE PERFECT GAMEPLAN against them, they set up a blueprint to beat USc and it worked for 58 minutes, but they couldnt hold Bush down, they held leinart, the recievers and white in check, but they couldnt stop bush, and when they played the final two minutes, LEINART came alive and led USC to victory. That offense is too good, TEXAS is aight.
