In other words what influences what particular cd's you buy? Word of Mouth? Read about it in a magzine? Maybe you mightve bought their previous albumns. What makes decide you want to invest your money in buying a cd

i used to buy albums mainly coz of reviews in mags, bt i think tha ther fuked thesedays so i go by word of mouf an hav bin 4 bout 2 years now

i mostly buy cds from artists i've been into for a while but there is always exceptions i get a lot of underground shit off the internet thats how i heard of tech n9ne until i saw hime live with icp but sometimes if someone has a tight single with a video i see which don't happen very often cuz i don't watch mtv or bet anymore but thats how i got kanye's college dropout and talib kweli's beautiful struggle and lots of times just word of mouf if my boy gets a cd i like i'll go out and buy me one

I think some people buy c.d's because of reviews in the mags, and they wont feel right unless they go by what the mag saiz. Like "Late Registration" that wasn't a XXL, but alot of people say it was cuz XXL and Source gave it a classic. Lil Kim...i think if XXL woulda gave it a XXL then everybody would say it was a XXL.

I listen to every rap cd known to man, why? so I can catch the niggas that bite and claim they did it

i buy cds from my main artist i listen too, im verly 'close minded' when it comes to music , i stick to my artist... i mean i listen to dif people from time to time... but for the most part i always fall back on my artist... so im not a person that goes and buys every cd...

1 thing that ticks me off about people who buy cds, and i know a few of these people, they buy a cd and throw away the case and the booklet.. why do people do that???

i burn my cd's ive burned a lot but if i listen to a burnt cd and its tight i'll cop the real one but i listen to a lot of people in rap but late reg. was no xxl and lil kim was no 5 mics but i follow rappers who ive liked from the beginning

Theory Break i think this is appropriate for this topic its called Critical Mass. In order for something to happen like art or music there has to be enough people to sustain it. There has to be enough investors producers and consumers. However it seams to me that the problem with hip hop is that we have too many producers and not enough consumers. IN other words everyone wants to be a rapper or beatmaker etc. rather than listen to other peoples work. What do you guys think any ideas?
