WeLL...i prefer both West and East...but i think in the long run..when its songs like Regulate and Keep Your Head Ringin...i prefer West..cheah..but Game imo does NOT embody the west---and this coming from an EastCoast cat

we got some good lyricists out west, but all in all I like west coast beats and east coast lyrics. But there are rappers on this side with lyrics just as good as the east.

Sorry yall but I'm unbiased when it comes to hip hop. You can get what you want from each of those regions if your in the mood for it.

for me, the south is the best hands down. now i think this is just because i listen to real music. a lot of the mainstream dudes yall mentioned from all regions dont impress me. if i was stuck with jeezy, d4l, luda, trillville, or the other wack radio shit from the south i would hate it too. but because of atlanta underground music, i love the south more than any mainstream artists from any region. including the east. i like a lot of indie dudes from the east too and i just dont know many from the west but i should.


most of the people yall named are legends and are outdated now. I mean..who the hell listens to Scarface, Ice Cube, or Biggie's last albums more than once.

I co-sign with what Sleeper said. I am a str8 out lyrics man. FLOW is my favorite thing If you can flow I will listen. So I would have to say East Coast. Allthough I listen to all types of music East, West, North, & South, there are also few songs tht I listen to cause of the beat.
