no eminem listen to classic shit come up with your own style and dont try to be like anyone else

yo man just buy a buch of instrumentals or download some. and rap over 'em. trust me it works, i been rappin since 13 and my rap shit done moved up. u bound to make ur own style if u do that. dont listen to no more cds, just instrumentals and get tha feel of tha beat and shit and then rap how u feel it should sound homie

i dont rap (oviously) ... but just write tons of shit down.... get a notebook for ur raps... that will help.... pratice on freestyling

freestyle freestyle freestyle. Write write write. Da only way to get betta is too practice! listening to others only make you sound like them. Listening to other genres only makes you better at beat makin (honestly how can you become a better lyric writer listening to classic rock?). A rapper is a writer its all about lyrics and writing the only way to improve those is to write. If your good you'll be okay immediately if your wack it will always be hard.

Me personally I freestyled for years before I ever wrote one verse. Writing verses is 100times harder than freestyling. But if your good you can be like me and make movies and do soundtracks. etc
