Slyvia Rhone Sugar Hill Records . A better question who had the most influence in Hip Hop? I think that will be better than stating the obvious.

that has nothing to do with being a mogul, however Chaka Khan was more influencial that james brown earlier on.
what did Rhone have besides G uni...I mean Sugary Hill Gang.
I get them two mixed up sometimes.

hell yeah sylvia rhone, I think she had grandmaster flash and the furious five. I can't remember who else... But she was on dat VH1 special and like all of the pioneers who really started the genre were on Sugar hill records.
Russel Simmons is cool but he ain't the first she is.

Syvia had all the pioneers of the game like The Sugar Hill Gang, GrandMaster Flash and the furious Five, Treach 3, Spoonie Gee, Funky 4 plus 1 more and countless other affiliates of the game. She got the Foundation started so Russell and Rick can see Def Jam. Now if you want the most influential and Sucessful I'll say Russell. Nuff Said
