i agree although akon is just starting and hasnt featured on any hip hop style songs apart from locked up as belly dancer doesnt have any rapping in it.

This isn't a good comparison. These dudes sound nothing alike. Don't get it twisted Nate Dogg is dope. But have any of his albums pushed past gold status if that far? Nate Dogg shines on other peoples projects but his own projects don't seem do push many units. As far as Akon, same thing. How has his album sold? He sounds dope on "locked up" and "soul survivor" but that's it. He sounds like a wannabe Wyclef IMO. That's just me.
